What I discuss at Safeway

It's hard for me to grocery shop without calling someone. I blame my mom. She knows one trillion recipes, so I frequently call her while I'm in the produce aisle. I ask, "Ma, what should I cook?" And then she gives me good ideas.

But today, I didn't call Madre. Today, I called Baumgal. "Baumgal," I said, "I am not rolling in cash, but I do want to buy organic. Which organic products should I choose?" She pretty much summarized this awesome website.

More importantly, though, we decided that when we go camping in a few weeks, we'll make coffee can ice cream. Like in chemistry class. Except rowdier.
